From Dang Derm in the Park on Khaosan we hit the Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun, a tuk-tuk food tour through Yaowarat (Chinatown), a Chao Phraya dinner cruise, a day at the Living Green Elephant Sanctuary, and a Muay Thai fight night at Rajadamnern Stadium.
A short flight to Siem Reap and a Khmer village ATV tour, then the big one: a 2-day Angkor Wat tour starting with sunrise over the main temple, plus Preah Khan, Ta Prohm and the Bayon on the grand loop. Pub Street handles the evenings.
An overnight bus to the capital and the Chaiya Palace: the Royal Palace, a sobering morning at S-21 and the Killing Fields, an outdoor shooting range, and a sunset Mekong River BBQ cruise.
Flights back through Bangkok to Krabi and the Vacation Village Phra Nang Inn: a scooter run to Railay Beach for sunset, the 7 Islands sunset tour with snorkelling and bioluminescent plankton, and a Hot Spring, Emerald Pool & Tiger Cave temple day to finish.
A transfer south to laid-back Koh Lanta and the Twin Lotus Resort: a scooter loop of Mu Ko Lanta National Park and an adventure sea tour to Koh Rok & Koh Haa — some of the clearest snorkelling water in Thailand — before the long haul home via Bangkok.
