15 Days Island-Hopping the Philippines

A second-honeymoon route through Boracay, El Nido, Coron, Cebu & Siargao

🗓 February 13 – March 2 15 days 🌍 Philippines 👥 Couples / Anniversary

We built this one as a 15-day “greatest hits” of the Philippine islands to mark five years of marriage — a slow-burn loop that trades one paradise for the next roughly every two to three days. It flies YVR→Manila, then hops by AirSwift and Philippine Airlines from Boracay to El Nido to Coron to Cebu and finally to the surf island of Siargao.

Boracay — the warm-up island

After the red-eye into Manila and a morning connection to Caticlan, we e-triked to the jetty, caught the shared boat to Cagban Port, and checked into the Fairway & Bluewater resort with its own private beach. The next morning was a full island-hopping tour — snorkelling stops, helmet diving on the seabed, and an ATV run — before a foam party at the Laguna pool. Boracay is touristy and proud of it; it’s the perfect place to shake off the jet lag.

El Nido — lagoons that don’t look real

A short AirSwift hop to Cuna Hotel put us in reach of the famous Tour A: Bacuit Bay, the Big Lagoon, Seven Commandos Beach, and a string of hidden coves. We built in a free day to rent a bike, tour the island, and chase a sunset cruise. El Nido is the postcard everyone pictures when they think ‘Palawan’ — and it lives up to it.

Coron — shipwrecks, karst & hot springs

Coron was the anniversary centrepiece. We stayed two nights on the private Two Seasons Coron Island resort (set dinner on the beach for the anniversary), did the Super Ultimate Tour across the WWII wreck-dive sites and limestone lagoons, then moved to the Coron 180 Hotel in town for a city tour that ended in the Maquinit Hot Spring at dusk.

Cebu — canyoneering & the sardine run

From the pool-and-recover base at the Mövenpick Mactan, we did the big one: a 5 a.m. pickup for Kawasan canyoneering — sliding and leaping down turquoise chutes — paired with the Moalboal sardine run and sea turtles. It’s a long, wet, adrenaline-heavy day and worth every minute.

Siargao — finish on the surf island

We closed the loop at Muni-muni Villas near Cloud 9. A Trio Islands day tour (Naked, Daku & Guyam) delivered the classic white-sand-and-palm shots, and a Harana surf lesson sent us home salty and sunburnt. Rent a scooter, chase the coconut roads, and don’t rush the last two days.
